چکیده
Since its founding, NASA has been dedicated to the advancement of aeronautics and space science. The NASA Scientific and Technical Information (STI) Program Office plays a key part in helping NASA maintain this important role. The NASA STI Program Office is operated by Langley Research Center, the Lead Center for NASA's scientific and technical information. The NASA STI Program Office provides access to the NASA STI Database, the largest collection of aeronautical and space science STI in the world. The Program Office is also NASA's institutional mechanism for disseminating the results of its research and development activities. These results are published by NASA in the NASA STI Report Series, which includes the following report types: • TECHNICAL PUBLICATION. Reports of completed research or a major significant phase of research that present the results of NASA programs and include extensive data or theoretical analysis. Includes compilations of significant scientific and technical data and information deemed to be of continuing reference value. NASA's counterpart of peer-reviewed formal professional papers but has less stringent limitations on manuscript length and extent of graphic presentations. • TECHNICAL MEMORANDUM. Scientific and technical findings that are preliminary or of specialized interest, e.g., quick release reports, working papers, and bibliographies that contain minimal annotation. Does not contain extensive analysis. • CONTRACTOR REPORT. Scientific and technical findings by NASA-sponsored contractors and grantees. • TECHNICAL TRANSLATION. English-language translations of foreign scientific and technical material pertinent to NASA's mission. Specialized services that complement the STI Program Office's diverse offerings include creating custom thesauri, building customized databases, organizing and publishing research results. .. even providing videos. Trade names or manufacturers' names are used in this report for identification only. This usage does not constitute an official endorsement, either expressed or implied, by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. This report contains preliminary findings, subject to revision as analysis proceeds. Summary The first stage of the high-pressure turbine (HPT) of the GE90 engine was simulated with a three-dimensional unsteady Navier-Sokes solver, MSU Turbo, which uses source terms to simulate the cooling flows. In addition to the solver, its pre-processor, GUMBO, and a post-processing and visualization tool, Turbomachinery Visual3 (TV3) were run in a Linux environment to carry out the simulation and analysis. The solver was run both with and without cooling. The introduction of cooling flow on the blade surfaces, case, and hub and its effects on both rotor-vane interaction as well as …

Unsteady aerodynamic analysis of different multi mw horizontal axis offshore wind turbine blade profiles on sst-k-ω model
To indicate the best airfoil profile for different sections of a blade, five airfoils; included S8xx, FFA and AH series was studied. Among the most popular wind power blades for this application were selected, in order to find the optimum performance. Nowadays, modern wind turbines are using blades with multi airfoils at different sections. SST-K-ω model with different wind speed at large scale...
متن کاملEffect of Platform Surge Motion on the Performance of 5MW NREL Offshore Floating Wind Turbine
In this study, an unsteady aerodynamic simulation is performed to realize the influences of platform surge motion on the aerodynamic performance of a high capacity offshore floating wind turbine. A dynamic model with pitch angle control system is utilized to propose a more realistic model of wind turbine and also achieve the rated condition of the rotor. The transient effect of platform surge m...
متن کاملA Multi-prong Study on Aerodynamic Characteristics of Archimedes Spiral-type Wind Turbine Blade
This research describes aerodynamic characteristics of small-scale wind turbine blade, called Archimedes spiral wind turbine blade. Numerical approaches on the prediction of aerodynamic performance of the blade have been conducted. Both steady and unsteady state numerical simulations using ANSYS CFX are performed on the several cases of rotating speeds. Large scale tip vortex is captured and gr...
متن کاملImproving Data-based Wind Turbine Using Measured Data Foggy Method
The purpose of this paper is to improve the modeling of the data-driven wind turbine system that receives data from noise signals. Most of the data on industrial systems is noisely and data noise is inevitable and natural. The method and idea proposed in this paper, Data Fogging, significantly reduce the impact of noise on data-driven wind turbine system modeling, which is the basis of this met...
متن کاملInfluence of Inter-row Gap Value on Turbine Losses
This paper presents the results of a numerical investigation of the gap influence on the turbine efficiency. The rotor-stator interaction in a 1 2 -stage turbine is simulated by solving the quasithree-dimensional unsteady Euler/Navier-Stokes equations using a parallelized numerical
